Saturday, August 22, 2015:  The CCPC took part in the annual Huronia West OPP Bike  Auction this afternoon.  There were over 70 auction items and 30 bikes up for auction at today's sale.  Proceeds from the auction go back to the CCPC and the Wasaga Beach and Springwater Policing Committees.  Thank you to the local community and the Huronia West OPP for your support!

Saturday, March 21, 2015:  The CCPC will have a booth at the Rec and Leisure Showcase to be held at the Stayner Community Centre from 10am-3pm.  Please stop by our booth to learn more about our committee and meet our committee members!  

 Saturday, February 28:  The CCPC will be holding an Open House to feature our program initiatives and our committee.  Please join us to find out how to become a volunteer.  Youth volunteers are welcome as well!  Draw prizes and light refreshments will also be featured.  See you there! 

 November-December 2014: The CCPC is once again holding its LCBO bag campaign to bring awareness to the community about the dangers of drinking and driving.  This year, with the help of our local elementary school students drawing pictures depicting why drivers should choose to not drink and drive, we have distributed 400 LCBO wine bags to the Creemore and Stayner LCBOs.  Choose to arrive alive and drive sober this holiday season and all year long.  Call a cab, call a friend or stay overnight.   

October 2014:  the CCPC, in partnership with Huronia West OPP, SCI and Drive Wise will be on hand at the school to provide distracted driving demonstrations to students. Information from the CCPC will also be handed out to students as they participate.  All are welcome to attend!   

June 2014:  Members of the CCPC as well as members from the Springwater and Wasaga Beach policing committees were on hand for the annual bike auction.  Funds raised at the auction get split between the policing committees to be used in future projects.  The next Bike Auction date is set for June 21.  Save the date!

March 6, 2014:  The CCPC hosted members of other community policing committees from around our area for networking opportunities.  We were pleased to host over 15 members of the Wasaga Beach, Tiny and Springwater CPCs.  Hope we can do it again soon!

 November 21, 2013:  The CCPC will be hosting an Open House for the Township of Clearview. Learn information about our initiates, find out what our committee is about and learn how you can get your Criminal Background Check done in one day!  Please be sure to check our Facebook page for details!

June 22, 2013:  The CCPC will be working in partnership with the Huronia West OPP, Wasaga Beach CPC and Springwater CPC to put on the annual OPP Bike Auction.  The auction will be held at the Huronia West OPP detachment.  All proceeds to the policing committees.

May 27, 2013: Look for our completed LCBO bags in Creemore and Stayner LCBO stores.  Check out our LCBO bag initiative page for more information and please, don't drink and drive.

May 16, 2013:  The CCPC will be meeting with other community policing committees from around the county for networking and relationship building opportunities. 

May 15, 2013:  Members of the CCPC are volunteering to assist with the RACE Against Drugs campaign to be held at the Collingwood Curling Club this year.  We are looking forward to this opportunity! 

May, 2013:  The CCPC will once again be organizing the LCBO bag initiative.  Students from across our community draw pictures on 6x6 pieces of paper depicting why drivers should choose to not drink and drive.  These pictures are glued onto LCBO wine bags and distributed to the Creemore and Stayner LCBO stores.  To date, the CCPC was distributed over 1000 drawings on bags for this initiaitve.  Please check out our LCBO bag initiative page on this website for more information.   

March 23, 2013:  The CCPC will be hosting an information booth at the Health and Leisure Showcase at the Community Centre in Stayner.  The showcase runs from 10am-3pm.   

March 17, 2013:  Our Vice-Chairperson was on hand at the Stayner Foodland to assist Huronia West OPP with their 'Fill a Cruiser' campaign.  $400 worth of food was donated to the Clearview Foodbank through this effort.   

November, 2012:  The CCPC hosted an Open House in the Council Chambers of the Clearview Administration Building.  The purpose of the Open House was to create public awareness of the committee and recruit new members.  3 new members joined the Committee as a result of this Open House! 

 

July 7, 2012:  The CCPC will be on hand at the Stayner Heritage Day Parade. 

 

July 2012:  The CCPC has once again organized their biannual LCBO bag campaign.  This year, the campaign is focused around the Canada Day long weekend.  413 bags have been distributed between Creemore and Stayner LCBOs.  Thank you once again to the members of the CCPC with their hardwork on this campagin and especially to the elementary school students and their teachers for all of their drawings.  Please don't drink and drive!

June 23, 2012:  Members of the CCPC will be on hand at the Huronia West OPP Detachment for the annual Bike Auction. 

May 10, 2012:  In partnership with the Huronia West OPP, the Clearview Community Policing Committee will be on hand at the Clearview Administration Building from 7-9pm.  This Open House will give you a chance to meet with members of the detachment as well as the CCPC.

The students are to draw on 6 x 6 pieces of paper depicting why drivers should choose to not drink before getting behind the wheel of a car. These papers will then be glued to LCBO bags for distribution to LCBO customers. Our Committee will distribute the completed bags to the Stayner and Creemore LCBOs for the Christmas season. October 2011:  The Clearview Community Policing Committee wrapped up its annual Bike Helmet Safety Program.  Thanks again to Stayner Dairy Queen and Huronia West OPP for taking on this initiative with our committee.  The program was a success with 300 coupons being given out to local area elementary school aged children, rewarding them for wearing thier helmets properly while riding a bike.  These coupons were redeemable for a small ice cream cone from Stayner DQ.  For more details, check our our 'Bike Helmet Safety Program' page. 

September 23, 24, 25, 2011:  The Clearview Community Policing Committee will be running an informational booth at the Great Northern Exhibition.  Come and say hello to our members and learn how the Committee operates.  Informational brochures and displays on various criminal issues will also be on hand.  See you there!

Saturday, August 6th, 2011: The CCPC will be hosting a Car Wash and BBQ fundraiser with monies raised going back to the CCPC. The event will be held in the parking lot of Stayner Foodland from 12-4pm. We thank the owners and staff of Stayner Foodland for their support.

 

 

The above image was taken on Saturday, August 6th as members of the Clearview Community Policing Committee ran their BBQ and Car Wash event. The event raised close to $300 which goes back to the Committee. Thanks, Clearview!

May long weekend 2011: Once again, the members of the Clearview Community Policing Committee held its semi-annual LCBO bag program. This month, we used photocopied pictures from the campaign held at Christmas time in order to give our local area schools a break. We understand how busy the school year gets and thought they had worked hard enough at Christmas! Another 300 bags were distributed to the Creemore and Stayner LCBOs this long weekend. The message remains the same: Please Don't Drink and Drive. Our campaign has now distributed over 1000 bags since it began. We couldn't have done it without our schools!

Saturday, January 22, 2011: Members of the Clearview Community Policing Committee will be hosting an Open House in the Council Chambers of the Stayner Town Hall. Running from 12-4pm that day, the Open House will feature our past projects and initiatives as well as door prizes and light refreshment.

Thursday, July 8, 2010: Members of the CCPC and Huronia West OPP officers were out in Stayner today taking part in the 'Lock It or Lose It' program. These members walked through Stayner checking that residents had their cars locked and their items secured. An information pamphlet was left on windshields of cars that were checked. Over 200 cars were checked in Stayner on this day. With 14 thefts from cars having occurred in Stayner in the month of May alone, the CCPC and the OPP are reminding residents of Clearview Township to lock their vehicles as well as secure any items of value before leaving their vehicles unattended. In taking these easy steps, you are reducing your chances of becoming a victim of this crime.

Saturday, July 3, 2010: In partnership with The Door, the CCPC is hosted a charitable Car Wash with proceeds raised split equally between the two organizations. Beginning immediately following the Heritage Day parade, the event was located at Stayner Town and Country just off of Highway 26. The fundraiser netted the community-based groups $152 which will be put back into the community through the groups' programs. Thank you to those in the community who came out to support our fundraiser.

Thursday, May 20, 2010: Our Committee once again organized an initiative, in partnership with grade four and five students from 5 local elementary schools, to reduce the occurrence of drinking and driving on our roadways. The students drew on 6 x 6 pieces of paper depicting why drivers should choose to not drink before getting behind the wheel of a car. These papers were then glued to LCBO bags for distribution to LCBO customers. Our Committee distributed 225 bags to the Stayner and Creemore LCBOs for the May long weeked. Monday, May 3, 2010: In partnership with Stayner Dairy Queen and Huronia West OPP, the Clearview Community Policing Committee is once again launching its Bicycle Helmet Safety Program. Please see our section labelled 'Bicycle Helmet Safety Program' for further details.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010: The Huronia West OPP is running a child car seat clinic in partnership with the Clearview Community Policing Committee on this date. The clinic will be held at the Stayner Public Library on Huron Street in Stayner between 2:30 and 5:30pm. There is no cost to have the inspection done.

December 2009-January 2010: Our Committee is organizing an initiative, in partnership with grade four and five students from 6 elementary schools around our community, to reduce the occurrence of drinking and driving on our roadways. The students draw on 6 x 6 pieces of paper depicting why drivers should choose to not drink before getting behind the wheel of a car. These papers will then be glued to LCBO bags for distribution to LCBO customers. Our Committee hopes that we will have over 300 bags to return to the Stayner and Creemore LCBOs once the students have completed their artwork. We are very excited about this initiative!

September 2009: Find us at the GNE! Members of our Committee will be handing out information regarding our group and our participation within the community! Feel free to stop by our booth!

June to August 2009: In partnership with the O.P.P. of Huronia West Detachment and Stayner Dairy Queen, the Committee is sponsoring a Bicycle Helmet Safety initiative. To all children that are seen riding their bikes with their bicycle helmets on, a coupon for a free small softserve cone will be handed out. Thank You goes out to Stayner Dairy Queen for willing to sponsor the cones for the children!

Monday June 8 and Wednesday June 10, 2009: The Clearview Community Policing Committee is hosting, in partnership with Huronia West Detachment, presentations on Credit/Debit Card Fraud.

December 6, 2008: Find our Committee members for an informational brochure! Brochures about our Committee are to be handed out on the Main Street of Stayner and Creemore during the Christmas parades!
